Albert T. “Butch” Homer, Jr. 44, of Springfield, passed away at 4:35 p.m., Monday, January 14, 2002 at Memorial Medical Center. Albert was born November 23, 1957 the son of Albert T. Homer, Sr. and Sharon Conwill Homer in Springfield. Mr. Homer was a painter and a maintenance worker. He was also an avid NASCAR fan. He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, one brother: John Homer and one nephew: Michael Smith. He is survived by his mother: Sharon; three sisters: Kathy Smith of Springfield, Debbie Smith of Springfield and Christine “Cricket” Homer of Dawson; stepmother: Mary Ann Homer of Dawson; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, two great nephews, one great niece and several cousins. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home from 5-8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2002. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2002 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home with Very Reverend Patrick Wright V.F. officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
