

Albert E. Weber Jr., 67, of Springfield passed away on Thursday April 27, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born on March 29, 1950 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin to Albert E. and Jean Basil Weber, Sr. He married Elizabeth Pickering on April 3 1971 in Rockford and she survives.
Mr. Weber is also survived by his daughter Leah Weber of Springfield, his son Seth (fiancé Melissa Jones) Weber of Girard, one brother Greg (Peggy) Weber of Arizona, two sisters: Nancy (Rick) Meisner of Florida and Suzie (Dave )Lindholm of Wisconsin, and two grandchildren: Jacob and Ryder Weber.
Albert earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and his master’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He enjoyed his career as a social worker with the Illinois Department on Aging. Mr. Weber enjoyed various types of music including country, the Beatles and the Rolling Stones but his favorite was Cat Stevens. Before starting his family Albert was a muscle car enthusiast and as his family grew he coached his children’s soccer, baseball and softball teams. He was a fan of all Wisconsin sports teams.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Monday May 15, 2017 at the First Presbyterian Church, 321 South Seventh Street. The family will meet friends from 10:00am until the time of service at church.
