Amos B. McMullin

Amos Bunston McMullin, 95, of Fountain Hills, AZ formerly of Springfield, IL died Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Honor Health Thompson Peak in Scottsdale, AZ. He was born June 2nd, 1927 in Morley, MO. to Amos Cleveland and Maggie Elizabeth Bryant McMullin. He married Mildred F. Fornkahl on September 11, 1949 in Anna, IL.

He retired from the State Journal Register newspaper in Springfield, IL after 25 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers, 5 sisters, and wife Mildred.

He is survived by his daughter Katherine L. McMullin of Fountain Hills, AZ, and son Paul A. McMullin of Pompano Beach, Fl. Grandchildren Christopher McCarthy of Fountain Hills, AZ, Rachael (Ryan Bergling) Eden of Fountain Hills, AZ and Katie (Andre) Sudduth of Deerfield Beach, FL. Great Grandchildren Daniel Sudduth of Deerfield Beach, FL and Eden Bergling of Fountain Hills, AZ.

Services are to be held at Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., Springfield, IL 62711. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2022 from 3 to 5 pm. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 7,2022 at 11 am at Bisch West, with Rev. Dr. Michael Strong officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, Springfield Il.
