Andy O’Neill, 56, of Springfield, died at 2:13 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2006 at his home. Andy was born on June 14, 1949 in Springfield, the son of Andrew P. and Marie Frances Jacoby O’Neill, Sr. Mr. O’Neill was a 1967 graduate of Griffin High School, a 1969 graduate of Springfield Junior College and a 1971 graduate of Illinois State University. He was the owner of Illini Placement Bureau, Inc. Andy was a member of Calvary Temple. He enjoyed hunting and working with stained glass. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by one sister: Julie (husband, Jim) O’Neill-Berberet of Springfield; one brother: Michael G. O’Neill of Springfield; one niece; one nephew and several cousins. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2006 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 6, 2006 at Calvary Temple, 1730 W. Jefferson, Springfield with Rev. Mark Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
