Anna June Clarke, 92, of Springfield, died at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Villa East in Sherman. Anna was born March 28, 1917 in Divernon, the daughter of Louis and Nona Green Staley. She married Joseph Clarke on August 31, 1936 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. He preceded her in death in 1984. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Chester Staley and Lewis Newt Staley. She is survived by four sons, Lew Thomas (wife, Rita) Clarke of Ormand Beach, FL, William (wife, Marion) Clarke of Cape Coral, FL, Michael (wife, Linda) Clarke of Springfield and Donald Patrick (wife, Kathy) Clarke of Sioux City, IA; thirteen grandchildren, Karen, Ricky, Denny, Trish, Timmy, Bill, Kevin, Greg, Christian, Patrice and Joseph Clarke, Dr. Kelly (husband, John) Clarke-Knolhoff and Steven (fianc, Christy) Clarke; eight great grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center. A private family ceremony will be held. The family of Anna June Clarke is being served by Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
