Anna Elizabeth Maher, born November 1, 1912, passed away at her home on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the age of 98. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Maher. She is survived by her son, John R. Maher and wife, Clara along with two granddaughters and six great-grandchildren. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 10:00 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1345 N. 6th St., Springfield. The family requests casual dress. Funeral Mass: 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Thomas P. Holinga, V.F., celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church, 1345 N. 6th St., Springfield, IL 62702 for masses.
