

She was born in Champaign on December 13, 1954, the daughter of Arthur Henry and Theresa Marie (Kingery) Nuxoll.
Annette devoted her life to her faith and became a Secular Franciscan after her retirement of 35 years with the State of Illinois. She devoted time to pray the rosary every day. Annette also dedicated herself to her children and worked hard to take care of her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing solitaire on her computer and watching her favorite TV shows- NCIS, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune. Annette had a heart of gold and was always there to help everyone.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur; son, Chad Michael Raffa; daughter, Kathryn “Katie” Raffa; uncle, Father Victor Kingery; and all her special aunts and uncles.
Annette is survived by her mother, Theresa Nuxoll of Effingham; daughter, Hailey (Eric VanDyke) Raffa of Spaulding; special adopted daughter, Ashley Londrigan; grandchildren, Brittney VanDyke, Trent VanDyke, and Dominique Rush; siblings, Mary Jo (Greg) Pemberton of Mt. Vernon and David Nuxoll of Dickson, TN; one nephew, several nieces, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation and Mass of Christian Burial: Family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2000 E. Sangamon Ave., Springfield, until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. George Nellikunnel, S.A.C., celebrant.
Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, family would like donations to St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
