Arthur L. Sheppard, Sr., 67, of Berlin, died at 8:20 p.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at St. John's Hospice. Arthur was born on September 13, 1943 in Berlin, the son of Joseph and Opal Mae Clayton Sheppard. He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings. Arthur had been a truck driver for many years. He is survived by his children, Cindy (Stephen) Bodine of Riverton and Lorrie (Chris) Maurer of New Berlin, and Arthur Lee Sheppard, Jr. of Berlin; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, George, Bob (Sheri) and Gary (Jeannie) Sheppard, all of Berlin, Shirley (Robert) Lomelino of Modesto, Dave Sheppard, Barb (George) Barker, Nancy (Fred) Blankenship, Mary Lou Hagaman and Ruth (Norman) Bess, all of New Berlin; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center. A graveside ceremony will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Berlin Cemetery with Rev. Warren Brosi officiating.
