Barbara Sanford Driscoll

Barbara Sanford Driscoll, 79, of Springfield, died at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, August 23, 2003 at her home. Barbara was born January 9, 1924 in Pekin, the daughter of Willard H. and Marie Traylor Sanford. Ms. Driscoll retired from the Secretary of State in the Administrative Hearing Department where she was a Legal Secretary. She was a lifetime member of TRN Club, a member of the American Business Women Association and was a Democratic Precinct Committeeman for a number of years. She was also a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Michelle Driscoll She is survived by two sons: Michael S. (wife, Judy) Driscoll of St. Louis, MO, Dennis R. (wife, Penny) Driscoll of Springfield; three daughters: Catherine M. Herbst-Houska, Nancy E. (husband, Steven) Viola, Patricia E.(husband, Randy) Wise all of Springfield; fourteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren and one niece. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home from 4-7:00 p.m. Monday, August 25, 2003. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2003 at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Patrick J. Wright celebrant.
