Barbara A. Lowe, 81, of Springfield, passed away at 11:45 a.m. on Monday, December 31, 2018 at Memorial Hospice at Heritage Health. Barb was born on March 6, 1937 in Hillsboro, the daughter of Joseph V. and Katherine A. Frank Feraris. She married Charles Lowe on June 28, 1958 in Hillsboro. Over the years, Barb enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needlework, and other crafts. She also loved spending time with her granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Shirley Murphy; and half-brother, Kenneth V. Feraris, Sr. She is survived by her husband, Charles Ed Lowe of Springfield; one daughter, Lisa A. (Roger Al) Crites of Sherman; one granddaughter, Valeria N. Crites of Sherman; two siblings, Raymond L. Crihfield of San Diego, CA and Dorothy Southard of Marion, IL; and several nieces and nephews. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center. Per Barbs request, no visitation or funeral ceremony will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective League, 1001 Taintor Rd., Springfield, IL 62702. The family of Barbara A.
