Barbara Anne Moore, 90, of Springfield, passed away on October 26, 2023 at Sunrise Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Virden, Illinois. She was born on February 24, 1933 in Philadelphia, PA., to Donald M. Findlay and Lucille Kramer.
Mrs. Moore is survived by her children: Doug VanBuskirk of Springfield, Rachel Struthers of Golden Valley, MN., Charles VanBuskirk of Ventura, CA., and Liza VanBuskirk of Orleans, MA., and one sister Gloria Andrews of Sterling, Virginia. She was preceded in death by one brother Donald.
Barbara worked as a research manager for the State of Illinois Department of Revenue for 25 years. She enjoyed reading books and she was a member of several book clubs. Barbara was a member of shapenote singing groups and would perform at New Salem and throughout the Midwest.
Cremation rites were accorded and the family will host a memorial gathering at a later date.
