She was born on August 7, 1959 in Springfield, the daughter of the late John and Betty (McCombs) DeGroot. She married Kevin Gregory in Ashland, IL in 1981 and he survives.
Becky had most recently worked as a cashier for Walmart before her retirement. She had also worked for County Market and had worked as a pharmacy tech previously as well. She loved spending time with and spoiling her grandkids. She was also an avid NASCAR, Yankees’ baseball, Duke Basketball, and Chicago Blackhawks fan.
Besides her husband Kevin, she is survived by her 2 sons, John (wife Karen) Gregory and Jason Gregory, both of Springfield; her 2 grandsons, Brycen and Korbin Gregory; her sister Julie (husband Michael) Reed of Springfield; and her niece Jillian Reed.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, John and Randy DeGroot.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., Springfield, where a memorial visitation will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022 from 4 to 6 pm. Per her wishes, cremation rites were accorded.
