I met Ben and Marlene at our local dog park.  Always enjoyed talking with Ben, about politics, his piano and guitar playing and love of Lime Street Cafe.  Surprised and sorry to learn of his passing.   Terrific guy.

Ben was a "bonus grandpa" to my kids, and we shared many happy times together when they were small and we all got together for family events regularly. Birthdays, weekend trips, trick-or-treating, Ben and Marlene showered all the kids with love and attention. We were so lucky to have those times together. He will be missed. May his memory be a blessing.

Ben was a great guy. I knew him back in the 1980's when we all played Racquetball. Always enjoyed talking to Ben. My thoughts are with Ben and his family during this difficult time. May he rest in eternal peace.

My condolences on Ben’s passing. He was a wonderful neighbor and the first person to introduce himself when we moved in next door. He was very warm and welcoming. He will be missed. I want to talk about my grandpa… my Cappy.

He was the nicest person in the world. I know people say that a lot, but with him, it was actually true. He was the kind of person who would give and give and give, even when he didn’t have much left for himself. He cared more about other people being okay than he did about himself. And I think everyone here felt that in their own way.

To me, he wasn’t just my grandpa—he was my Cappy. He made things feel safe and calm. Being around him just made everything better, even if nothing was said.

The last time I saw him is something I keep thinking about. I didn’t know it would be the last time. And I didn’t hear him say “I love you” that last time… or maybe I just didn’t realize it would be the last time I’d hear it. And that’s something I wish I could go back and change. I wish I could hear it one more time, and say it back one more time.

I regret that. I really do.

But I also know that he loved me. He showed it in everything he did. In the way he talked to me, the way he smiled, the way he was always there. His love wasn’t just words—it was who he was.

And I think that’s something really important to remember. Even if I didn’t hear those words that last time, I felt them my whole life.

Cappy loved everyone here. Every single person. He didn’t just say it—he lived it. He wanted people to feel cared about, to feel important, to feel loved. And he gave that to us.

I’m going to miss him so much. But I’m also really grateful. Grateful that I got to have him as my grandpa. Grateful for all the memories, all the laughs, all the quiet moments.

I’ll carry him with me. In the way I treat people. In the way I try to care about others like he did.

I was so saddened to hear of Mr. Schultz’s passing.  My deepest condolences to his wife, sons and family.  Jordan, I am sending you a big hug and prayers. May your father rest in eternal peace 💐
