

Beverly Jo Fowler, 62, of Springfield died at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 11, 2005 at her residence. She was born November 9, 1942, in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Michael and Josephine Watts Petrone. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, and received her Master’s degree in Education. She was an educational consultant for gifted children for 15 years for the U.S. Education Administration. She enjoyed traveling, and visited Europe, Italy, and Spain. Her family was most important to her. She had a great love of music, and enjoyed playing the piano. She also loved gardening and flowers. She enjoyed needlework, creating afghans and other items for her family. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her companion Larry Hollis of Pleasant Plains; son: Brian David (wife, Annette) Fowler of Wentzville, MO; daughter: Christina Renee Fowler of Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia; grandson: Graham Noltkamper; two brothers: Michael (wife, Lola) Petrone of Peoria, David Wayne Petrone of Colorado; sister: Marilyn Susan Petrone of Dallas, TX; one niece, two nephews, and several cousins. Cremation accorded by the Cremation Tribute Center. Family will receive friends from 5-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Memorial Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2005 at Unity Church of Practical Christianity, 417 Cordelia, Springfield with Pat Meeter officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation c/o Peoria Memorial Affiliate, 4700 N. University, Suite 92, Peoria, IL 61614, and the American Association for Gifted Children at Duke University, Box 90270, Durham, NC 27708-0270.
