

Beverly B. Markvart, 85, of Glenarm, passed away Monday, October 26, 2015 at her daughter�s residence. She was born August 21, 1930, in Chicago, to Elmer and Helen Pekarek Simoneit. She married John Griffin and he passed away in 1957; she married William Markvart and he passed away in 1983. She was preceded in death by her son, William �Billy� Markvart; daughter, Carol Lucas; and grandson, Joseph Schmitt. Beverly and her husband, Bill owned Markvart Finer Foods/Certified in Chicago for many years. She then served as a book keeper for several political campaigns including Citizens for Jack O�Malley and Citizens for Jim Thompson. She was a member of Plzensky Sokol and Camp Sokol. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Susan (Ronald) Schmitt of Glenarm; sons, Robert (Greer Crenshaw) and Jeff (Susan) Markvart all of Chicago; grandchildren, Eileen Smith, Ronald Schmitt, Brian Schmitt, Ryne Markvart, James Markvart, Kyle Markvart, Wayne Lucas and Debbie Lucas; great grandchildren, Logan Smith, Katja Debrey and Gavin Goins; brother, Daniel Simoneit of Glen Ellyn; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: 2-8pm, Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 South Des Plains Avenue, North Riverside, IL. Funeral: 10am, Monday, November 2 at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home.
