

Bobby Gobel Jr., 40, of Pleasant Plains, passed away on Wednesday February 18, 2015 at his residence. He was born on October 23, 1974 in Springfield to Robert and Doris Dieke Gobel Sr. He married Tina McGary on October 24 1998 in Springfield and she survives.
Mr. Gobel is also survived by his parents, two sons: Darrell DeLong Jr., of Springfield and Brandon Gobel of Pleasant Plains, one grandson Giovanni DeLong of Springfield, three sisters: Jennifer K. Dieke of Council Bluffs, IA., Christina F. Bearden of New Berlin, and Andrea K. Marshall of Pleasant Plains, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his daughter Destany DeLong.
Bobby was an Eagle Scout, and he graduated from Lanphier High School in 1992 before becoming an accountant with Robert Gobel and Associates Accounting and Bookkeeping. He loved to play poker, watch movies and MMA matches, read John Grisham books, and spend time with his puppies: Sophie, Cooper, and Little Bits. Bobby will be remembered as a loving, caring, and compassionate individual who loved rock and roll and always put others first.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday February 24, 2015 at Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 Koke Mill Road, with a private family burial at a later date. The family will meet friends on Monday from 4-7pm at Bisch West and on Tuesday from 9:30am until the time of service.
