Bruce Lee Schmulbach

Bruce Lee Schmulbach, 56, of Sherman, passed away at 3:14 a.m. on Monday, September 13, 2010 at Memorial Medical Center. Bruce was born June 9, 1954 in Springfield, the son of Bruce Leroy Schmulbach and Mary Nicholson. He married Debby Bozarth on January 8, 1972 in Farmingdale. Bruce attended Lanphier High School and New Berlin High School. He worked as a carpet layer in construction and enjoyed fixing lawn mowers, working on motorcycles and hunting. Bruce was a member of Iron Workers Local #46. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Debby of Sherman; son, Chris (Kendra Sagle) Schmulbach of Sherman; daughter, Brigette Schmulbach of Sherman; six grandchildren, Allie, Breanne, Cayde, Kindelle, Mason and Keayten; step-father, Tom Nicholson of Springfield; brother, Fred (Janet) Schmulbach of Athens; sister, Linda (Jerry) Brickey of Petersburg; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. A funeral ceremony will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Vaughn Beeman officiating.
