C. Joyce Boone, 72, of Springfield, died on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at Memorial Medical Center. Joyce was born November 22, 1936 in Springfield, the daughter of Joseph E. and Nell F. Dalby Marinelli. She married Dean Boone on April 24, 1954. Joyce was a member of Springfield Quilts Guild, the "Shoo-Flys". She loved going with her grandchildren to Chicago especially at Christmas time and enjoyed listening to Barry Manilow music. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, Dean Boone of Springfield; a son, Dale Boone of North Fort Meyers, FL; a daughter, Deana (husband, Kurt) Devore of Springfield; three grandchildren, Kelsie Devore and Joshua and Amanda Boone; and one great-grandchild on the way. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, 2009 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
