

He was born on November 1, 1968, in Springfield, the son of Anthony J. and JoAnn L. (Butkis) Giganti.
Carl graduated from Riverton High School in 1986. He went on to work as a licensed plumber and pipe fitter for Local Union #137. Carl was a lifelong member of the Riverton community. He enjoyed riding his Harley, weightlifting, and listening to classic country and 90s music. Carl was a craftsman who could build anything. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to help others. Carl was always smiling, was very kind, and had a great sense of humor.
He is survived by his parents, JoAnn and Nino Giganti of Riverton; children, Nino (Jessica Elder) Giganti of Salt Lake City, UT and Carmyn (Ryan Wicks) Giganti of Riverton and their mother, Pam (Mike) Greer; grandchild, Kaizer Wicks; sister, Rose (Ryan Kink) Mutzbauer of Riverton and her children, Ellie and Gracie Mutzbauer; and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Memorial Ceremony and Gathering: 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. 6th Street, Springfield with Pastor James A. Stuenkel officiating. The family will receive guests following the ceremony until 7:00 p.m. Illinois COVID-19 guidance will be followed, requiring face coverings.
