Carl Francis Rutherford

Carl Francis Rutherford, 84, of Springfield, passed away on October 19, 2021 at his residence. He was born on December 25, 1936 in Springfield to Art Rutherford and Clemma Lawson. Carl married Juanita Ann Beckum on July 23, 1960 in Chatham and she survives.

Mr. Rutherford is also survived by six children: Bernadine Carter, Carol Street, Tammy (Steven) Fagg, Tracy (Dan) Pierce, Chuck (Christy) Rutherford and Vince (companion Sara) Rutherford all of Springfield, fifteen grandchildren: Matthew (Katie) Carter, Amanda Street, Chris (companion Kelly) Street, Cory (companion Damek), Brittany, Callie and Brooke Pierce, Cody (Ceci) Rutherford, Connor, Caleb and Caitlyn Rutherford, Treven, Kyle, Gage, Abbey and Bella Rutherford, five great-grandchildren: Cheyenne Street, Camren Street, Kenley Street, Lauranna Pierce and Raiden Schaeffer, three brothers: Lloyd (Gloria) Rutherford of Springfield, Fred Rutherford of Clinton and Clyde Rutherford of Wisconsin and two sisters: Rose Dubson and Nancy Milton both of Clinton. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Frank and John Rutherford and two sisters: Grace Morton and Betty Colvin.

Carl did auto body paintwork and tow truck driving for C & G Garage for thirty years and he was a bus driver for Springfield School District 186. He was a member of the Goldwing Road Riders and he loved bowling and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Cremation rites were accorded and memorial contribution may be made to the family.
