Carlo Santini

Carlo Santini, 58, of Springfield, passed away at 4:51 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, 2009 at home surrounded by his loving family. Carlo was born April 24, 1951, in Springfield, the son of Ferdinand and Adelina DiPaolo Santini. He married Deborah L. Hall on October 8, 1977 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Springfield. He was preceded in death by his parents. Carlo was a proud graduate of the Griffin High School Class of 1969 and attended Springfield College in Illinois and Lincoln Land Community College. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Air Force and was stationed in Aviano, Italy. He had 31 combined years of service between the Air Force and the Air National Guard. He was a proud Notre Dame, New York Yankee and SHG Cyclone fan. He was a member of K of C #4175 and Koinonia of Springfield. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and a devoted husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Debi Santini of Springfield; a daughter, Andrea E. Santini of Springfield; a son, Michael V. Santini of Springfield; a grandson, Anthony M. Santini of Springfield; a sister, Janet (husband, Steve) Bottom of Springfield; and several aunts, uncles and cousins both in the United States and Italy. Family will receive friends from 4:00 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2119 N. 20th St., Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 4:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church with Rev. John M. Titus celebrant.
