Carole was born in Springfield, November 27, 1945 the daughter of Charles and Elaine (Boylan) Jensen. She graduated from Illinois State University where she earned her Bachelor’s in Education.
Carole married Hershel Fitzpatrick, August 9, 1969 and he preceded her in death, January 30, 2019. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Carole retired in 1998 from Springfield School District 186 after many years of service. She was an avid reader and loved to travel. Her favorite places included the mountains of Colorado and the beaches of Florida.
Surviving are her daughter, Dr. Lisa (husband Gerard) Martin of Burr Ridge, IL her son, John M Fitzpatrick of Pekin, IL, her granddaughter, Katie Martin of Burr Ridge, IL her brother, Jan (wife Sharon) Jensen of Ormond Beach, FL and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation rites were accorded by the Bisch Crematory.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at Old Salem Cemetery, west of Springfield, on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 2:00 pm.
