Carolyn Sue Peart

She was born on July 12, 1946 in Louisville, KY, the daughter of the late Norman and Lucille (Houston) Chambliss. She married Charles Peart on March 27, 1970 in Louisville, KY and he preceded her in death on June 22, 2015.

Sue had worked as an admissions professional for Memorial Medical Center. She also had previously owned a daycare for approximately 13 years. As a teenager, she taught swimming lessons. She was a member of Calvary Church in Springfield and was a former member of the Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed singing in the church choir and she had also led the Missionettes Group and worked with the church youth group.

Sue is survived by her children, Rebecca (fiancé Paul Kucia) LeMasters of Springfield, Lee Andrew (wife Heather) Peart of Springfield, and Jessica Reno of Charlotte, SC; 4 grandchildren, Jenna LeMasters, and Caleb, Ethan, and Lexie Peart; 1 great-grandchild Stephen Todd Hahn; and 2 sisters, Gail Lyons and Kay Chambliss, both of Louisville, KY.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her 2 brothers Ronald Chambliss and Norman “Bud” Chambliss.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield. Per her wishes, cremation rites were accorded. Inurnment will take place at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield at a later date.
