She was born in Lincoln, IL, April 23, 1943 the daughter of Robert Lee and Audrey (Thompson) Gaddie. She married William Thomas Rodgers in Springfield, July 18, 1967 and he survives.
Also surviving are her son, Michel L. Rodgers of Denton, TX and several cousins, including Barbara Renfro, Sally Jo Thompson, Ron Thompson, Rick Thompson and Mike Berschneider.
Carolyn retired in 2011 from St. John’s Hospital where she served as an Emergency Room Orthopedic Technician. She was a member of Lakeside Christian Church.
Cremations Rites will be accorded by the Bisch Crematory, Springfield, IL.
A memorial gathering will be hosted by the family at Lakeside Christian Church 225 Toronto Rd. Springfield, IL on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018 beginning at 4:00 pm until the time of a memorial service there at 5:00 pm. Pastor’s Jon Morrissett and Jay Brooks will officiate. Private inurnment will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
