

Charles Davis Beavers, 82, of Springfield, passed away on January 18, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born on December 10, 1934 in Lebanon, Kentucky to Charlie and Roberta Mullins Beavers. Charles married Wendy Beavers and she preceded him in death.
Mr. Beavers is survived by three sons: Charles Dale Beavers and Ronald Dean (Paulette) Beavers both of Springfield, and Buddy (Lori) Lash of Pleasant Plains, one daughter Valerie (Perry Skaggs) Miller of Springfield, one step-daughter Roxane (Bob) Singer of Athens several Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren, two brothers: Willis Beavers and Howard (Shirley) Beavers both of Springfield, and three sisters: Ruth “Sissy” (Ron) Casper and Barbara Brinkmeyer both of Springfield and Marilyn (Al) McCarthy of Sweetwater, Illinois. He was preceded in death by one infant son Arden Ray Beavers, one infant daughter Barbara Alan Beavers, one granddaughter Stephanie Beavers, one great-granddaughter Chayenne Portwood and three brothers: Lee, Raymond “Jody” and Ruben Beavers.
Charles worked for the Springfield Park District for over fifteen years and then was self employed. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and trapping and he was a member of the NRA.
A prayer service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday January 24, 2017 at Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 East Allen Street. The family will meet friends from 10:00am until the time of service Tuesday at Bisch and Son.
