Charles was born on January 10, 1946, in Illinois, to Charles and Genevieve J (Kinney) Meeker. He was employed as a mail clerk for the State of Illinois. He had a passion for coins and was a life member of the Central Illinois Numismatic Association. He was also a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish.
Charles was preceded in death by his father; mother; and sister, Mary Ann Donohue. He is survived by his 3 nephews and his cousins.
Family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m., on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1725 W. Walnut St., Springfield. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Jeff Grant, celebrant. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
