Craig E. Deluhery

Craig E. Deluhery, 68, of Springfield, passed away on September 23, 2025 at his residence. He was born on March 31, 1957 in Orlando, Florida to William Edward Deluhery and Diane Ellen Williams Deluhery. Craig married Gail Fishel in Rockford, Illinois on September 18, 1982 and she survives.

Mr. Deluhury is also survived by two daughters: Amy Deluhery of Riverton, IL., and Katie Cox (husband James) of Carbondale IL., one granddaughter Sierra Utterback of Riverton, IL., one great grandson Coleson Christen, one sister-Pam Deluhery of Clinton, IA., one brother Doug Deluhery (wife-Donna) and nine nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents-William and Diane Deluhery and siblings-Mark Deluhery and Paul Deluhery.

Craig graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for The Formosa Plastics Corporation in Illiopolis, Illinois and for Invista in South Carolina. He was a member of the Catholic Church of the Little Flower and the Little Flower Men's Club. Craig was a prior member and Grand Knight of the Knight’s of Columbus in Riverton, IL., the Knight’s of Columbus of Camden, SC., and the Men’s Supper Club of Lugoff, SC.

He enjoyed the outdoors as well as golfing, fishing, and boating with his with his family and friends. Craig was an avid reader of news and current events who was proficient in home improvement projects and he had an interest in genealogy and ancestry. One of his favorite past times was to listen to the blues and he loved visiting live music venues. Watching new movies filled his free time and he enjoyed vacationing at Briny Breezes, FL, where he could lay on the beach all day. His great-grandson Coleson thought he was the best Papa ever.

A visitation for Craig will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Catholic Church of the Little Flower, 800 Adlai Stevenson Drive, Springfield, IL 62703. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM, 800 Adlai Stevenson Drive, Springfield, IL 62703. A graveside service will occur Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 12:45 PM at Taylor Cemetery, Telstar and Taft Roads, Spaulding, IL 62561.
