Craig Perks

Craig Perks, 54, of Springfield, joined his family and friends in heaven at 3:54 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center, after a brief battle with an unexpected illness. Craig was born October 1, 1961 in Springfield, the son of John J. and Sue Jacobs Perks, Jr. He married the love of his life, Trisha Conreux on September 25, 1999 in Springfield. Craig was a graduate of Springfield High School. He was previously employed with CWLP, working his way up through the ranks to Electrical Power Broker and was a past member of the IBEW #193. He was also a member of Christ the King Parish. Craig loved to travel and explore the world with his family and friends. He loved entertaining through his passion for cooking. Craig's friends often referred to him as the "gear guy" due to his interest in the latest technologies. He was very talented at woodworking and enjoyed making gifts for his family. Craig's unconditional love for his children was observed in how he immersed himself in their interests and activities. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Trisha Perks of Springfield; three sons, Sam Perks (26) of Chatham, John "Goo" Perks (22) and Roberto "Bear" Perks (8) of Springfield; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many special friends. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 4:00 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 27, 2015 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. The gathering will begin with a prayer service at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass: 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Christ the King, 1930 Barberry Dr., Springfield with Rev. Joseph Ring, celebrant. Burial will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O.
