Daniel "Danny" Joseph Millburg

Danny was born on August 11, 1948, in Springfield, the son of Fred and Lela Boehler Millburg. He married Margaret Meier Schroeder on November 27, 1999, in Springfield.

Danny attended St. Isidore Grade School in Farmersville and was a graduate of Lincolnwood High School in Raymond. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1968-1972. He was a life-long farmer and worked for Pitman Township for 40 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 701 in Waggoner, the IL Tractor Pull Association, and the Waggoner Centennial Players. Danny enjoyed attending tractor pulls, working on and collecting antique tractors, traveling, and boating. He loved being with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Opal Norris; and two brothers, Howard and Dale Millburg.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Millburg; sons, Chad (Heather) Millburg of Waggoner, and Stacey Millburg of Wyoming; stepdaughter, Richelle (Scott) Loftus of Sherman; six grandchildren, Elizabeth and Emily Loftus, Kaleb, Kharynn, Katrina, and Wyatt Millburg; one sister, Rosella Adams of Virden; sister-in-law, Marge Millburg of Waggoner; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation and Funeral Mass: Family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, 524 E. Lawrence Ave, Springfield. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 with Rev. Brian C. Alford, celebrant. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery with military honors provided by the Interveterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County and the Department of Defense. Following the burial, fellowship and lunch will be provided at Saputo’s Restaurant, 801 E. Monroe St., Springfield, to share memories of Danny.
