David S. Colyer

David Shane Colyer, 42, of Maryville, passed away suddenly at 3:45 p.m. on Sunday, April 5, 2015 in Collinsville. David was born December 17, 1972 in Springfield, the son of Donald "Steve" and Suzanne Fromme Colyer. David attended St. Mary's Grade School in New Berlin and graduated from Sacred Heart Grade School in Effingham. He graduated from St. Anthony High School in Effingham. He also attended Lake Land College, Lincoln Land Community College and SIU in Edwardsville. He worked at Target in Edwardsville and Michael's in Shiloh. He was preceded in death by his father and his sister, Sheila Colyer, and his maternal and paternal grandparents. David is survived by his mother, Suzanne of Springfield; brother, Stephen (wife, Terri) of Chatham, sister, Colleen of Albuquerque, NM; two nieces, one great-nephew, and a special friend, Susan. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following ceremonies. Funeral Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2015 at McCullough-Delaney and Butler Funeral Home, 714 E. Gibson St., New Berlin with Rev. Kevin Laughery officiating. Family will visit with friends following the funeral ceremony at the Knights of Columbus Hall in New Berlin. Burial will be held at a later date at St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: St. Mary's Church, 304 E.
