

David Lee Jones, 71, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday March 28, 2013 at his residence. He was born on May 3, 1941 in Springfield, the son of Cyril and Daisie Davenport Jones. He married Wilma Howse on August 27, 1961 in Assumption, IL., and she survives.
Mr. Jones is also survived by his daughter Judi (Mark) Perkins of Paducah, KY., his brother Michael (Suzie) Jones of St. Charles, MO., three grandchildren: Nathan, Abigail, and Jared Dollins all of Paducah, KY., one sister-in-law Carolyn (Morrie) Pell of Springfield, one brother-in-law Jim (Donna) Howse of Assumption, two aunts, two uncles, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and two special fishing buddies. He was preceded in death by his son David Leon Jones.
David was a produce clerk for Kroger’s Grocery Store for twenty years. He then went to work for Beatty TeleVisual for seven years, and the Secretary of State for eleven years. He was a member of the NRA, he loved fishing, deer hunting, and his yearly trip to Kentucky Lake with his wife.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday April 2, 2013 at Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 Koke Mill Road with Rev. Dawn Stuemke officiating and burial will follow at Old Berlin Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 5-8pm Monday at the funeral home.
