He was born Sept. 30, 1950 the son of Robert Lee and Ardell Lorraine Phillips Thompson. His parents and a brother, Robert Jr. preceded him in death.
David was an Iron Worker. He was a life member of Iron Workers Local 46 and the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental, and Reinforcing Iron Workers.
He is survived by his three children; Chris Thompson, Amy Lynn Thompson and Sean (wife Claudine) Thompson, all of Springfield. He has nine grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Daniel Thompson of Colorado and his sister, Suzi Thompson of Springfield. There are several nieces’ nephews and cousins.
Graveside Service: A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm Wednesday, Sept. 9th, 2015 at Oak Hill Cemetery, near Riverton. Rev. Vaughn Beeman will officiate.
