Debbie was born March 16, 1953, in Springfield, IL, the daughter of John and Blanche (Schmidt) Forbes. Debbie married John Sirtout, he preceded her in death in 2009.
Debbie attended Real Life Church and proudly served as part of the VFW Auxiliary. A former CNA, she dedicated herself to caring for others with compassion and kindness. Debbie enjoyed playing the lottery, bingo, and trying her luck at the casino. Above all, she loved her dogs and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Blanche; husband, John Sirtout; son, William “Billy Joe” Joseph Forbes; brother, Wayne Forbes; and sisters, Diana Neal, Janice Forbes, and Carolyn O’Connell.
Debbie is survived by her son, Dale Kroening; daughter, Lora (Aaron) Kelsey; two grandchildren, Connor & Parker Kelsey; brother, David (Sherry) Forbes; and sisters, Linda Hoover and Cindy Sirtout.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2025 at Calvary Cemetery, 2001 N. 1st St., Springfield, IL 62702, with Pastor Clint Cook officiating. Following services the family will have a luncheon at 1500 Fairfield Dr., Springfield, IL 62702.
