Debra Lynn Thorne Lynch, 59, of Springfield, died at 4:23 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at St. John's Hospice. Debra was born on July 4, 1954 in Springfield, the daughter of Dorothy Hickson Thorne. She married Arthur Lynch on December 28, 1973 in Springfield. Debra graduated from Lanphier High School and was employed as a filing and title clerk for the Secretary of State. She enjoyed playing Bingo and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. She was preceded in death by her mother; infant son, Arthur; and two sisters, Susie Hutchens and Dolores Trader. She is survived by her husband, Arthur of Springfield; two sons, Craig Lynch of Springfield and Brian Lynch of Waukegan; daughter, Megan Lynch of Jacksonville; granddaughter, Katelynn Lynch; sister, Joyce (husband, Ronald) Smith of Springfield; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her beloved dogs, Rudy and Tito. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Private family ceremonies were held.
