Delia Ann Davis

Delia Ann (Dee) Davis, 50, of Springfield, died on Monday, January 14, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center. Delia was born January 23, 1962 in Springfield, the daughter of Robert and Naomi O'Brien Kannady. She married William Davis on September 11, 1981 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Delia was employed by the State of Illinois for 27 years. She was a former Girl Scout Leader and loved her two cats, Kohl and Kasey. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Kannady and her brother, Timothy Kannady. She is survived by her husband, William Davis of Springfield; one son, Jarrett (wife, Tiffany) Davis, currently of Haiti; one daughter, Amanda S. Davis-Creasey of Springfield; two grandchildren, Gabriel and Lily Belle Creasey, both of Springfield; mother, Naomi Kannady of Springfield; siblings, Jim, Pat, Chris, Dave, Ginger, and Maureen Kannady; and brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Joanne Davis. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
