

Della A. Shures, 90, of Springfield, died at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at St. John’s Hospice. Della was born on April 28, 1915 in Springfield, the daughter of Anton and Mary Bernosky Walutkevicz . She married Joseph F. Shures in 1936; he preceded her in death on July 15, 1985. She was a homemaker, a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and an auxillary member of the Legion of Mary. She was preceded in death by one brother: Stanley Walutkevicz and three sisters: Mary Muttra, Maggie Liggette and Anna Stimach. She is survived by two sons: William Shures of Springfield, Michael Shures of Fancy Prairie; two daughters: Della (husband, George) Laurenzana and Barbara Shures both of Springfield; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2006 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 30, 2006 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2125 N. 21st. St. Springfield with Rev. Mark A. Schulte celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Masses in memory of Della A. Shures. The family of Della A. Shures is being served by Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield.
