

Denver Lee Ford, Sr., 46, of Springfield, passed away at 12:50 a.m. on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at McClellan VA Hospital in Little Rock, AR. Denver was born on January 27, 1971 in Pekin, the son of Larry and Sallie Pitts Ford. He married Tina Ann Vaupel on June 5, 1988 in Groveland, IL. Denver graduated from Delavan High School and then joined the Army National Guard, where he would serve in Afghanistan, and eventually retire in 2012. He later worked for Dot Foods, as a semi driver. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Denver is survived by his wife, Tina Ford of Springfield; children, Denver (Kristine) Ford, Jr. of Decatur, Brooke Ford of Chatham, and Emily and Abigail Ford, both of Springfield; grandchildren, Zander, Elliott, Avery, and Kinsley; parents, Larry and Sallie Ford of Springfield, AR; siblings, Kim Ford of Springfield, AR, Larry (Nancy) Ford, Jr. of Monee, IL, and Kevin (Sheri) Ford of Little Rock, AR; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th Street, Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Chaplain Steve Foster officiating.
