Donald was born February 19, 1936 in Springfield, the son of John Thomas and Pearl Mae Matthews McClure. He married Rita Flynn.
Donald graduated from Lanphier High School. He worked as a bailiff at the county courthouse for 28 years.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jessie Mae McClure; and two infant siblings.
He is survived by his wife, Rita McClure of Springfield; daughter, Paula L. McClure (Dewey Parnell) of New Berlin; son, John "Beau" (Jodi) McClure of Waverly; step-sons, Gary (Tina) Sharp and Gregg Sharp (Melinda Lowder), both of Springfield; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Private family ceremonies will be held.
Celebration of Life: 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Knights of Columbus Hall #364, 2200 S. Meadowbrook, Springfield.
Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
