

Donald Frederick Schnepp II, 71, of Springfield, died at 2:09 a.m. on Monday, July 30, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Don was born February 24, 1941 in Springfield, the son of Donald and Mayo Wienold Schnepp. He married Susan Richards on June 14, 1969. Don was a graduate of Springfield High School and Southern Methodist University. He owned and operated Schnepp and Barnes Printers until he sold the business and retired in 2005. He was a member of the Chaine de Rotisseurs and a former member of the YMCA and American Business Club, having served on the board of both organizations. Don enjoyed golfing, travel, food and running. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Sue of Springfield; one son, Eric (wife, Cari) Schnepp of Broomfield, CO; one daughter, Katie (husband, Wade) Andrews of Boulder, CO; three grandchildren, Bella and Cassidy Schnepp, and Mason Andrews; one sister, Barbara Schnepp Dinezio; one sister-in-law, Rosemary Gall; two nephews and one cousin, Suzie Schnepp. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 5:00-800 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
