Donna L. McCracken

Donna was born on January 1, 1950, in Hillsboro, the daughter of Robert and Virginia (Miller) McCracken. She married Robert Berry on August 25, 1978, in Springfield.

Donna was a graduate of Hillsboro High School and Sangamon State University. She worked for UIS for over 30 years as an Admissions Administrator and Editor, retiring in 2010. Donna was passionate about the APL. She volunteered with them for 25 years and put her love of knitting to good use by knitting animals for the APL to sell in their store. Donna was an avid reader of true crime stories and a devoted mother and wife.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Berry of Springfield; and two sons, Matthew Berry of Springfield and Cody (wife, Lexi) Berry of Chatham.

Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Papa Frank’s, 4111 Wabash Avenue, Springfield.
