Dorothy Ann Agnes Daniels

Dorothy Ann Agnes Daniels, 92, died at 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2008 at St. Anne Home in Ft. Wayne, IN. Dorothy was born January 3, 1916 in Tuxhorn, IL, the daughter of Bartolo and Rose Maniscalco. She married Gildo Daniels on October 10, 1936 in Springfield. He preceded her in death in 1995. Dorothy was a resident of Springfield most of her life. She was a member of St. Aloysius and Altar and Rosary Sodality. Dorothy worked hard as a sterilization technician for many years at St. John's Hospital before retiring at age 72. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was a good friend to many. In addition to her husband she was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Ann Mottershaw and Theresa Maniscalco; and a granddaughter in-law, Marianne Musick. Dorothy is survived by two daughters: Barbara Ann (husband, Donald) Musick of Ft. Wayne, IN and Patricia Lynn (husband, Steven) Gietl of Rochester, IL; her sister, Amelia Horn of Springfield; her brother John (wife, Theresa) Farrier of Springfield; seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews Family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 22, 2008 at St. Aloysius Church at 2119 N. 20th St., Springfield, IL 62702 with Reverend Donald Meehling, celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
