Dorothy Marie Farnham, 87, of Springfield, died at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, November 14, 2004 at Memorial Medical Center. Dorothy was born January 14, 1917 in East St. Louis, IL the daughter of William and Mary Ellen May Castiller. She married Raymond Farnham November 29, 1947 in East St. Louis, IL; he preceded her in death March 11, 1993. Mrs Farnham was employed by the Department of Human Services, formerly the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, from 1940 until her retirement in 1976. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Springfield and formerly of St. Albert the Great Parish in Fairview Heights. She was also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Maribeth Farnham of Springfield; cousin, Judy Lester of Largo, FL, three step-brothers: John Haverman of Belleville, IL, Joseph Haverman of Smithton, IL, Donald Haverman of St. Louis, MO and four step-sisters: Lorraine (husband, James) Woods of Fairview Heights,, Ruth (husband, Larry) Simpson of Highland, IL, Lillian (husband, Joe) Steinkoenig of Willow Springs, MO and Mary (Tom) McAllister of Pocahontas, IL. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 18, 2004 at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights with Rev. Peter Harman. The family of Dorothy Marie Farnham is being served by Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield.
