Dorothy Ann Wilkins was born November 4, 1934, in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Walter and Clara Wilkins. On August 20, 2021, Dorothy was called home to join her beloved parents and siblings, Delores, Walter, and Wendel Wilkins, son, Paul Harmon Jr., and granddaughter Kierra Doss who preceded her in death. Dorothy and her family relocated from St. Louis, Missouri to Springfield, Illinois in 1946. The third of five siblings, she attended Isles Grade School and graduated from Feitshans High School. After graduation, Dorothy entered the workforce and proudly assisted at St. John’s Hospital and Memorial Hospital. In 1957, she wed Paul Harmon Sr. and from that union, their son Paul Harmon Jr. was born. For 30 plus years, Dorothy worked in the insurance industry. Her work ethic was recognized with numerous awards and honors, and after her many years of service, Dorothy retired from AIG. Unbeknownst to many, Dorothy was an avid sports fan and loved to watch her beloved Chicago Bulls play, especially in the era of Michael Jordan. She enjoyed traveling to visit family and caring for her beloved home at 1511 E Carpenter Street.
