Dorothy M. Reynolds, 99, of Springfield, passed away on November 10, 2021 at her residence. She was born on May 30, 1922 in Decatur to William Fromm and Elsie Phares. Dorothy married Marvin A. Reynolds on September 4, 1946 in Springfield and he preceded her in death in 2010.
Mrs. Reynolds is survived by her children: Philip M. (Diane) Reynolds and Cathy S. (Anthony) Condello both of Pittsburg, PA., Deidre A. (Larry) Zobrist of Rochester, Sheila M. (Michael) Templeton of New Jersey and Colleen L. (Maurice) Ferratier of Springfield, eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin A. Reynolds and her sister Marge Tapocik.
Dorothy served in the United States Navy in World War II. She was a wonderful mother, a great cook, an excellent seamstress and an outstanding quilter who was a wonderful Gigi to her grandchildren.
Cremation rites were accorded and a private burial will take place at Camp Butler National Cemetery at a later date.
