Doug Lascody

Doug Lascody, 47, of Sherman, passed away, surrounded by family and friends, at 8:59 p.m. on Monday, June 16, 2014 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Doug was born May 8, 1967 in Springfield, the son of Michael Joseph and Wanda Ann Musselman Lascody. He married Andrea Whitley on April 9, 2010 in Elkhart, IL. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a cousin. He is survived by his mother, Ann Lascody (companion, Gordy Stuber) of Sherman; his father, Mick Lascody of Springfield; his wife, Andrea Lascody of Sherman; daughter, Reagan Lascody and son, Dane Blakeman, of Sherman, and son, Dalton Blakeman of Riverton; one sister and special brother-in-law, Melinda (husband, Mark) Sloan of Springfield; five sisters-in-law, Abby (husband, Rob) Pierce and Shelli (husband, Keith) Nolte, Sheri Dee (husband, Leon) Flood, Jodi (husband, Dave) Trotter, all of Mattoon, and Teri Ann Whitley of Charleston; three nephews, Nathan (wife, Angela) Sloan of Sherman and Justin and Austin Sloan of Springfield; many special nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and beloved pet, Bella. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 20, 2014 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following ceremonies.
