Edith Pearl Neal

She was born on March 23, 1919 in Benton, IL the daughter of the late Albert and Essie (Bain) Bays. She married Virgil Ray Neal on Nov. 27, 1937 in Evansville, IN and he preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 2014.

Mrs. Neal worked as a clerk for the Illinois Department of Revenue for 10 years.

She is survived by a son Albert R. (wife Brenda) Neal of Springfield, a daughter Linda L. Sacco of Sherman, IL, 8 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great grandchildren.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Albert and Herschel Bays, a sister Wilma Taylor, and a son-in-law James J. Sacco.

Services are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., where visitation will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014 from 4 to 6 pm. Graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014 at 10 am at Old Salem Cemetery, with Rev. Vaughn Beeman officiating.
