

Eileen M. Killian, 74, of Springfield passed away at 12:45 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2002 at St. John’s Hospice. She was born November 6, 1927, in Kirkwood, Missouri, the daughter of William James and Elsie Swyers Henry. She married Roland Killian in1948 in Webster Groves, Missouri. She worked for the Federal Reserve Bank, St. Louis, Missouri and for A-E-C Group, Inc. Architects and Engineers, in Springfield, as a Consultant. Mrs. Killian was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, a member and former President of Trinity Ladies Aid, a member of Lutheran Woman's Missionary League, and former Springfield Zone President. She has served as past President of The Board of Directors of the Central Illinois Goodwill Industries. She was a member and Board Member of the Springfield Civic Garden Club. She has served as a former Member of the Board of Directors for Lincoln Memorial Gardens and was a former member of the Island Bay Yacht Club, Thistle Class. Mrs. Killian was a volunteer for the USO and The Red Cross during World War II and a Girl Scout Leader. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son: John D. Killian and one daughter; Marcia S. Conover. She is survived by her husband, Roland; two daughters: Karen (husband, Skip) Yassenoff of Columbus, OH, Charlotte (husband, Richard) Moses of Scottsdale, AZ; five grandchildren: Erik and Julie Yassenoff , Andrea, Colleen and Alexandra Killian; one aunt; one uncle and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home from 4-7:00 p.m. Sunday, September 29, 2002. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2002 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home with Reverend Thomas G. Radtke and Rev. William C. Schroeder officiating. Graveside services will be at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2002 at St. James Cemetery in St. James, MO. Memorials contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund or Trinity Ladies Aid, 220 S. 2nd St., Springfield, IL 62701. The family of Eileen M.
