

Elizabeth "Bette" Jeanette Kincaid, 83, of Chatham and Lake of the Woods, Sioux Narrows, Ontario, Canada, passed away Monday, November 4, 2013, at the Auburn Nursing and Rehab Center. Bette was born on March 6, 1930 in Raymond, IL to George and Marie Todt Seelbach. Thirteen of her siblings preceded her in death. She married Robert Eugene Kincaid June 5, 1954 and they spent 52 years together before his death on November 8, 2006. Bette retired from the State of Illinois Department of Human Services after 30 years of service as an accountant. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Chatham, and was often seen at the Chatham Senior Center. Bette enjoyed sewing crafts and baking; she had perfected her sugar cookie recipe over the years! Bette will be greatly missed by her son, Scott (Kathy) Kincaid of Rochester; daughter, Kathy (Rodney) Staake of Chatham; grandchildren, Lucas Kincaid of Rochester, Ryan (Brandi) Behl of Petersburg, and Whitney (Dan) Chacone of Nebraska; great grandchildren, Shelby and Cole Behl of Petersburg; brother, Richard (Sharon) Seelbach of Chatham; sister, Sr. Patricia Seelbach, OP of Springfield. Cremation rites will be accorded by Cremation Services of Central Illinois, Chatham, before services. Memorial Gathering and Memorial Service: Her family will greet friends from 4-6 PM, Thursday, November 7, at Staab Polk Memorial Home, 8855 State Route 4, Chatham, IL. A memorial service will be conducted at 6 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Chatham Senior Center, 111 West Mulberry, Chatham, 62629.
