Elizabeth Jane Creighton, of Springfield, died Sunday, May 15, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family and C.C. her dog. Jane was born February 4, 1933 in Rossville, IL to Elias Brinton and Anna Glodene Perkins Stahl. Jane married Harold "Soupy" Creighton on August 21, 1951. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1989. She was also preceded in death by a grandson; two sisters; and two brothers. Survivors: daughter, Cathy (Tom) Kush, Maryland Heights, MO; son, Mike (Leanne) Creighton, Springfield; daughter, Mary Slightom, Wilmington, NC and daughter, Claudia (Don) Pitchford, Springfield; her beloved dog, C.C.; grandchildren, Beth Ryan, Kevin Creighton, Kristy Creighton, Matt Creighton, Brian Slightom, Kyle Slightom; brother Chuck Stahl; several nieces and nephews. Jane was a homemaker. She attended Central Baptist Church in Springfield. She loved to read, flowers and doing crafts. Jane was active with the Builders Sunday school class at Central Baptist Church. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 20, 2011 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Mary Ellen Sharp, officiating.
