

Elizabeth P. "Betty" Gudausky, 97, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Petersburg. Betty was born May 12, 1912 in Scranton, PA, the daughter of Sam and Elizabeth Bizzare Pasquale. She married Paul J. Gudausky on October 22, 1942. He preceded her in death in 2002. Betty worked as an inspector for Sangamo Electric for more than thirty-two years, retiring in 1969. She was an active volunteer for the Salvation Army since 1983 and a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish at St. Patrick's Church. Betty enjoyed playing BINGO at Victory Hall and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Also preceding Betty in death are her sisters, Katie Bartolozzi Blackburn, Mary Peregrin, and Erma Beninati; and her brother, Joe Pasquale. She is survived by her brother, Emil Pasquale of Springfield; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2009 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. A prayer service will be held at 5:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1800 S. Grand Ave. E., Springfield with Rev. Peter C. Harman, celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 530 N 6th St, Springfield, IL 62702 or St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1800 S.
